Carcassonne is a tile laying game where the board expands as you lay tiles. You generate roads, cities and farmland and build temples. You populate these areas with a finite number of 'men'. Although you get them back as the game progresses, a good player can find ways of locking his opponents men on the board, and thus stopping them earn points as the game goes on. A good mix of luck and strategy.
