When Darkness Comes

When Darkness Comes is a tile-based board game that combines roleplaying with boardgaming. The first core set, called "The Awakening", deals with the undead (zombies, mummies, vampires, etc)

WDC Game Expansion 1 - Sometimes there is more to fear from what appears to be normal than you would think. Keep an eye on everything. Even your friends may not be what they appear. This is the first expansion for When Darkness Comes... It focuses on the world of shape shifters and lycanthrope and features additional rules and scenarios, four additional map tiles and two additional miniatures. It also contains part two of the GM campaign.

WDC Expansion 2 - Demons, Cultists and Psychos...Oh My! This is the second expansion for When Darkness Comes... It features additional rules and scenarios, more encounter disks and two additional miniatures. Also contains part three of the GM campaign.

WDC Expansion 3 - Things can always get worse...and now they have! This is the third expansion for When Darkness Comes... and wraps up the first campaign.

This expansion has been eons in the making... Arkham is a strange place and when you dorm at Miskatonic U. it only gets weirder. Explore the darker side of college life. But, be sure to take notes... there will be a quiz! This expansion features new rules, six new scenarios and one GM run, multi-part campaign. All scenarios are set on the beautiful campus of Miskatonic University in the lovely town of Arkham, Mass. and feature creatures and themes inspired by the Lovecraftian mythos.

You are a spy, a superspy if you will, working for a large world organization to sequester the political and not so political entanglements that threaten the calm and quiet existence of a world on the brink of disaster. This game will take you on wild chases through the small streets of Europe as you run for your life or pursue your enemy. Failure is not an option, and sometimes it takes the assistance of others and a little luck to complete your mission. But trust no one, and proceed carefully. In this set, you will find a rulebook, scenario book, 8 tiles and 48 disks. The game requires the use of "When Darkness Comes...The Awakening," but we made the use minimal in a couple of the scenarios. The first scenario can be played without the core set. You will find new rules for vehicles, chases, disguises and traps. These can also be used with "When Darkness Comes...The Awakening."
